The Secretary of Health Punjab, Ali Jan Khan, oversees the renovation progress of Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot, emphasizing the modernization of healthcare facilities in the region.

The Secretary of Health Punjab, Ali Jan Khan, has announced that the renovation of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital (AIMTH) in Sialkot is on track to be completed by June 15. With 75% of the construction work already finished, costing 517 million rupees out of a total estimated budget of 800 million rupees, significant progress has been made. The refurbishment includes re-tiling the old 400-bed hospital building, covering areas such as administrative offices, outpatient departments, wards, pharmacy, laboratories, corridors, and washrooms.

Secretary Ali Jan Khan emphasized the importance of modernizing healthcare facilities in the province, with a focus on upgrading existing hospitals and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment. He urged the building department officials to expedite the remaining work to meet the deadline. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Zulqarnain also inspected the project's progress, accompanied by MS Dr. Rana Ilyas, SDO Building Chaudhary Ijaz, and Vice Principal Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical.

The ongoing revamping of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot signifies a significant investment in improving healthcare infrastructure in the region. Once completed, the upgraded facilities are expected to enhance medical services and provide a better environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.
