Commissioner Lahore leads GIS mapping initiative for development efficiency

The Lahore district administration is taking proactive steps to streamline development projects in the city by implementing GIS mapping of all departments' schemes. This decision aims to prevent duplication of efforts and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa led a meeting to assess current and proposed development schemes, with key officials from various departments in attendance.

During the meeting, Commissioner Randhawa highlighted the importance of GIS mapping and announced the creation of a progress monitoring dashboard for development projects. This dashboard will provide daily updates on the status of schemes across different areas.
