Dr. Umar Ayub Khan Inaugurates KCD Dentistry Department Extension

The Operative Dentistry Department at Khyber College of Dentistry (KCD) in Peshawar witnessed a significant milestone as Dr. Umar Ayub Khan, Chairman of the Board of Governors at MTI-KTH/KMC/KCD, inaugurated the extension of the department. The event, graced by esteemed personalities including Prof Dr Syed Nasir Shah and Associate Prof Dr Atta ur Rehman, marked a new chapter in enhancing dental care services in the region.

The need for expansion arose from the growing patient influx and space limitations at the original department, which housed 25 dental units. The newly added extension now boasts 42 units, catering to postgraduates, emergency cases, and patients with hepatitis B and C. This development is poised to elevate patient care standards and streamline appointment scheduling for improved efficiency.

Dr. Umar Ayub Khan lauded the dedication of the KCD team and assured ongoing support for their endeavors. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented a book to the Dean of KCD and joined the faculty members for a group photograph, symbolizing unity and collaboration in advancing dental healthcare.

The expansion of the Operative Dentistry Department at KCD signifies a progressive step towards enhancing dental services and accommodating the growing healthcare needs of the community.
