The Islamabad Police, led by IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, launches 'Nasha Ab Nahi' campaign to combat drug abuse. Recent operations result in arrests of criminals and snatcher gang members, emphasizing citizen involvement for public safety.

The Islamabad Police, under the leadership of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has initiated a special campaign named 'Nasha Ab Nahi' to tackle the growing issue of narcotics and protect the youth from drug abuse. In a recent crackdown, the police successfully apprehended 14 criminals in various parts of the city within the last 24 hours, confiscating drugs, weapons, and ammunition from their possession.

Among the individuals arrested were Abdul Rehman, Muhammad Hanif, Zahid Hussain, Muhammad Shahid, and Noman, along with the recovery of firearms and drugs. Furthermore, nine absconders and target offenders were also taken into custody during the operation.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza highlighted the relentless efforts of the Islamabad Police in combating the drug menace through targeted operations. The primary objective of the 'Nasha Ab Nahi' movement is not only to eliminate drugs but also to dismantle drug trafficking networks.

In a separate operation, the Shalimar police apprehended two members of a notorious snatcher gang responsible for multiple thefts in the twin cities. Stolen mobile phones, a motorbike, and weapons used in criminal activities were recovered from the suspects.

Under the directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues to escalate its crackdown on criminal elements to ensure the safety and security of the citizens. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals through the emergency helpline 'Pucar-15' or the 'ICT-15' app.

The 'Nasha Ab Nahi' campaign by the Islamabad Police signifies a crucial step towards curbing drug abuse and enhancing public safety.
