IGP Islamabad Leads Police Reforms Discussions

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, recently led discussions with senior police officers at the Central Police Office in Islamabad. The focus of the meetings was on revitalizing the Investigation Wing and implementing reforms across various police units, including the Special Protection Unit, Anti-Riot Unit, Counter-Terrorism Department, and Special Branch. Key officers such as SSP Law and Order, SSP Security, and AIG Operations presented reports on these reforms, which were carefully reviewed by IG Islamabad for further directives.

One of the primary objectives highlighted during the meetings was the integration of modern technology into the investigation process to keep pace with evolving challenges. Plans for issuing new directives to strengthen the Investigation Wing are underway, aiming to streamline investigations in criminal cases for more efficient and effective outcomes in combating crime.

Furthermore, IG Islamabad engaged with Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and SSP Safe City Shoaib Khan to assess the progress of enhancing the traffic system in Islamabad. Measures to intensify actions against traffic violations using e-challan and Safe City cameras were emphasized, reflecting the commitment to improving road safety and traffic management in the capital.
