The Islamabad Police, under IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, launches 'Nasha Ab Nahe' movement to combat drug abuse, with 448 arrests and awareness campaigns to protect the youth.

The Islamabad Police, led by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has initiated the 'Nasha Ab Nahe' movement to address the issue of drug abuse in the Federal capital and protect the youth from its harmful consequences. This movement aims to eradicate drug trafficking and dismantle drug networks in the region.

Under this campaign, the police force has conducted targeted operations resulting in the apprehension of 448 individuals involved in drug trafficking, including 85 former convicts. Substantial quantities of illicit substances like ice, heroin, hashish, and liquor have been confiscated from these individuals, leading to the filing of 438 cases across various police stations.

Aside from enforcement measures, the Islamabad Police is actively engaging in an awareness campaign through social media platforms to educate the public about the risks associated with drug abuse and to encourage the reporting of suspicious activities. The primary objective of the 'Nasha Ab Nahe' movement is to completely eliminate the drug trade and ensure the safety of the youth.

The law enforcement authorities have reaffirmed their dedication to bringing drug traffickers to justice and safeguarding the well-being of the youth. Citizens are urged to collaborate with the police by reporting any illicit activities in their communities through the emergency helpline 'Pukar-15' or the 'ICT-15' app. Together, we can create a drug-free environment and secure a brighter future for our youth.

The 'Nasha Ab Nahe' movement spearheaded by the Islamabad Police underlines the commitment to combat drug abuse and protect the youth from its detrimental effects. Through a combination of enforcement actions and awareness campaigns, the authorities are striving to create a safer and drug-free society. By fostering cooperation between law enforcement and the community, we can work towards a future where our youth can thrive without the threat of drug abuse.
