IGP Punjab Allocates Funds for Police Medical Expenses

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has allocated Rs 2 million for covering medical expenses of police personnel across various districts, including Lahore. The funds were disbursed to several individuals in need of financial assistance for their treatments.

• Constable Sajid Ali of the Special Protection Unit received Rs 0.4 million for his injuries.
• Sub-Inspector Rashid Waseem of PHP Gujranwala was granted Rs 350,000 for his medical treatment.
• Constable Waqas Ramzan of Rawalpindi received Rs 0.3 million for his medical expenses.
• ASI Muhammad Abbas of Bahawalnagar was provided with Rs 250,000 for his treatment.
• Head Constable Rashid Ahmad of Lahore police and ASI Nasir Mahmood of Khanewal each received Rs 200,000.
• Constable Muhammad Hanzla of Rawalpindi and ASI Junaid Iqbal of Rajanpur police were allocated Rs 100,000 each for their medical needs.

The funds were released following a thorough review by the Compensation Award Committee, ensuring that the financial support reaches those who require it the most. This initiative by the IGP reflects a commitment to the well-being of police personnel and highlights the importance of providing adequate support during times of need.
