The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman, has allocated an additional grant of Rs 1.8 million for the medical expenses of police personnel serving in various districts, including Lahore. This initiative aims to provide financial support to officers facing health challenges while on duty.

Under this grant, several police personnel have received assistance for their medical treatments. Lahore Police Constable Zubair Younas was granted Rs 500,000, Gujranwala Police Inspector Ghazi Muhammad Riaz received Rs 500,000, Bahawalpur Police Constable Zahid Javed was provided with Rs 350,000, injured Constable Rashid Mahmood from Bahawalpur received Rs 250,000, and Khanewal Police Constable Hamza Abbas was given Rs 500,000 for medical treatment.

A spokesperson for the Punjab police mentioned that the online welfare processing of applications and the disbursement of funds through the compensation award committee are ongoing smoothly without any delays. IGP Dr. Usman emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of the police force and ensuring that every official in need of medical assistance receives full support.
