The Sindh CTD Investigation Wing arrests two individuals in Karachi for illegal arms trafficking from KPK. Public awareness and cooperation are vital in combating this dangerous trend.

The Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Investigation Wing successfully conducted operations to apprehend two individuals involved in illegal arms trafficking. The arrests were made after receiving intelligence about the delivery of weapons ordered online from Darra Adam Khel, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) to Karachi. The individuals, Syed Bilal and Hamza Ali Khan, were caught with illegal firearms in separate operations.

During the first operation in Mubina Town, Syed Bilal was found with four 9mm pistols that he had ordered online from Usama Khan, the owner of Khan Arms Company in Darra Adam Khel. In the second operation in Samanabad, Hamza Ali Khan was arrested with two 9mm pistols and ammunition purchased from Ali Badshah of Lucky Arms Company in Darra Adam Khel. Hamza had traveled to Karachi to sell the pistols, earning a commission for each sale.

The CTD spokesman raised concerns about the growing trend of individuals, including criminals, hobbyists, and students, buying weapons online from KPK and then transporting them to cities like Karachi using buses and private vehicles. It was stressed that such online arms purchases are illegal, and the weapons acquired through these channels are illicit.

The successful operations by the CTD have helped curb illegal arms trafficking activities in Karachi. It is crucial for everyone to understand the dangers associated with purchasing weapons illegally and the severe consequences that follow. Public awareness and cooperation with law enforcement are essential in maintaining peace and security in our communities.
