MEPCO successfully completes 10 projects to enhance electricity provision, reduce energy losses, and improve service reliability in the region.

The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has successfully completed 10 projects aimed at improving the provision of electricity and reducing energy losses in the region. These projects, totaling Rs 69.4 million, focused on the installation of High Tension (HT) feeders during March 2024.

Project Director Construction at MEPCO, Engineer Farhan Shabbir Malik, shared that seven projects were completed in the Multan circle. These projects included the installation of 11 KV feeders in various areas such as Riazabad, Basti Malook, Khan Bela, Basti Bulail, Nawabpur, Sangi, Faizabad, and Kotli Nijabat. The total cost for these projects amounted to over Rs 48.5 million, with a primary goal of reducing line losses through strategic area planning.

In addition, three projects were completed in the Rahim Yar Khan circle. These projects involved the installation of 11 KV feeders at Fareedi Model town and Badli Sharif Jamal Din Wali grid station, at a cost of Rs 0.8 million.

The completion of these projects signifies MEPCO's commitment to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of electricity supply in the region. By investing in infrastructure improvements, MEPCO aims to provide better services to its customers while also addressing energy loss challenges.
