As Eid-ul-Azha approaches, the Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Arshad Ayub, has stressed the importance of proper planning for the disposal of sacrificial animal carcasses. During a recent meeting at Tehsil Municipal Administration Swabi, Minister Ayub emphasized the need for efficient waste management and the provision of essential facilities in cattle markets.

Reviewing the preparations for Eid-ul-Azha, TMO Jahangir Khan highlighted the continuous supply of clean drinking water and the installation of shelters in cattle markets. To ensure the responsible disposal of animal waste, over 10,000 biodegradable bags have been distributed across various union councils.

Minister Arshad Ayub Khan has called for further improvements in cattle market arrangements, stressing the necessity of adequate staffing during Eid. He also emphasized the need for increased restroom facilities and permanent water sources in these markets.

In addition to focusing on Eid-ul-Azha preparations, Minister Ayub Khan encouraged municipal officers to enhance revenue generation through efficient property management. Initiatives such as the development of a lease policy at the provincial level and the establishment of an Assets Management Company aim to improve government property management practices.

The cabinet committee is actively working on the equitable distribution of assets from former district councils to Tehsil Municipal Administrations, with a resolution expected in the near future.

Efforts are underway to ensure a clean and organized Eid-ul-Azha celebration, with a strong emphasis on waste management, facility provision, and revenue optimization. These initiatives aim to enhance the overall experience for both residents and visitors during this important religious festival.
