Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Zulqarnain has revealed plans to set up cattle markets in the four tehsils of the district ahead of Eidul Azha. This initiative aims to facilitate citizens in purchasing sacrificial animals for the upcoming festival. The announcement was made during a meeting held at the DC Office, where the importance of ensuring excellent arrangements in the markets was highlighted.

Special parking zones will be allocated for both animal transporters and visitors to ensure smooth traffic flow and convenience. The markets will be equipped with essential facilities such as washrooms, lighting, CCTV cameras for security, sanitation services, and waste management systems. A detailed operational strategy will be formulated in coordination with the traffic police to manage traffic effectively during the festive period.

The livestock department will establish inspection and vaccination booths to ensure the health and safety of the animals. Furthermore, a simulation exercise was conducted to prepare for potential flood situations, demonstrating the authorities' proactive approach to handling emergencies. Deputy Commissioner Zulqarnain also approved development projects amounting to 48 million rupees to enhance infrastructure in the district.
