Under the leadership of Minister for Environment, Climate Change, and Coastal Development Dost Muhammad Rahimoon, a special event was held at District Health Office Nawabshah to mark 'World Environment Day'. The event, organized by Secretary Environment, Climate Change, and Coastal Development Nabila Umar, featured a walk and seminar to raise awareness about environmental issues.

Participants at the event, including District Health Officer Dr. Asadullah Dahri, lady health workers, SEPA officers, and local residents, highlighted the growing environmental pollution in Pakistan, especially in Sindh. They identified population growth, industrial waste, plastic overuse, and deforestation as key factors contributing to environmental degradation.

To address these challenges, urgent actions such as tree plantation, strict enforcement of environmental regulations, adoption of renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, and promotion of eco-friendly plastics were emphasized. These steps are crucial in combating pollution and climate change.

The seminar aimed to educate the community about the harmful effects of environmental pollution and climate change, emphasizing the importance of planting trees to mitigate these issues.
