Punjab Government Revamps Healthcare Facilities in Remote Areas

The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched a significant initiative to revamp Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) throughout the province. Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Punjab, Sohaib Ahmed Bherth, announced the commencement of this comprehensive overhaul aimed at improving healthcare services in remote and underserved areas.

As part of a pilot project, four BHUs and RHCs have already undergone complete renovation. These facilities have been upgraded with modern infrastructure and equipped with advanced health amenities to better cater to the healthcare needs of the local population.

Bherth highlighted the government's commitment to prioritizing the provision of enhanced healthcare services to residents living in areas with limited access to medical facilities. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's administration is dedicated to ensuring that communities in remote regions have access to quality healthcare services supported by contemporary infrastructure.
