The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched a significant initiative to revamp Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) throughout the province. Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Punjab, Sohaib Ahmed Bherth, announced the commencement of this comprehensive overhaul aimed at improving healthcare services in remote and underserved areas.

As part of a pilot project, four BHUs and RHCs have already undergone complete renovation. These facilities have been upgraded with modern infrastructure and equipped with advanced health amenities to better cater to the healthcare needs of the local population.
