NAB Lahore, under Director-General Amjad Majeed Aulakh, takes decisive action against housing society fraud, freezing assets and compensating victims. Monthly open court sessions provide a platform for victims to voice grievances directly.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore recently conducted its monthly open court session, addressing the concerns of more than 350 affected individuals. The session, led by Lahore NAB Director-General Amjad Majeed Aulakh, focused on various housing societies including Prime Zone, Palm Vista Housing, Al-Rehman Garden, Khayaban-e-Amin Housing Society, Lasani Chicks, Al-Jalil Garden, Al-Kabir Town, and Grand Avenue Housing.

Notable actions were taken against the administration of Prime Zone, with the freezing of assets and land belonging to the accused. The case is progressing swiftly towards court indictment, with efforts to arrest the culprits underway. Similarly, the verification of claims for 1400 victims in the Prime Zone case has been completed, while actions against other societies like Khayaban-e-Amin and Al-Rehman Garden have also been stringent.

The NAB has seized valuable properties of the societies' owners to facilitate development and compensate victims. In the case of Palm Vista Society, all land has been seized, and efforts to locate additional assets are ongoing. Legal proceedings against the owners of Lasani Chicks are in progress, with steps being taken to bring proclaimed offenders back to face trial.

Director-General Amjad Majeed Aulakh emphasized the significance of the open court sessions, held on the last Friday of every month, as a platform for victims to voice their grievances directly to the NAB. The initiative has been well-received by affected individuals, as it aims to bridge the gap between them and the accountability bureau, ensuring transparency and swift action.
