The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad recently concluded a vibrant 3-day Spring Festival, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of Pakistan. The event, held from April 22-24, featured a range of activities including cultural displays, co-curricular events, entrepreneurial showcases, and competitions such as ghazal and Naat.

The festival attracted a diverse audience, with attendees including the Rector of NUML, Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani, along with Brigadier Shahzad Munir, representatives from various embassies, dignitaries, faculty members, and a large number of students. Major General Kayani emphasized the beauty of Pakistan's cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of respecting and celebrating the country's diverse traditions. He commended the students for their active participation in cultural activities and announced plans to make the spring festival a regular feature on the university's calendar.

Throughout the event, guests had the opportunity to explore cultural stalls representing different regions of Pakistan, as well as international stalls set up by embassies. Students showcased a colorful array of Pakistani cultures, including Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Hazara, and Saraiki traditions. The performances were met with praise and encouragement from the diplomatic community in attendance, further fostering cultural exchange and appreciation.
