Pakistan Hajj Mission Ensures Pilgrim Well-being

This year, the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah Mukaramah is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the well-being of its pilgrims. With a focus on hygiene, cleanliness, food quality, and timely supply, the mission has implemented a zero-tolerance policy. Daily inspections of catering company kitchens are being carried out to guarantee adherence to these standards.

Director Food Asghar Yousafzai has emphasized the importance of providing nutritious meals to all pilgrims, particularly those participating in the government scheme. The mission is dedicated to upholding high standards and has learned from past errors, closely monitoring catering facilities to enforce food safety regulations.

In response to any violations, the mission has taken strict action by imposing penalties on non-compliant catering companies. Six companies have faced a total of 17 penalties amounting to 263,580 Saudi Riyals. Pakistani Authorities have issued warnings to caterers, stressing the significance of maintaining food quality to avoid contract termination.

Director Food has instructed officials to prioritize the well-being of all Pakistani Hajj pilgrims, including those not under the government scheme. Pilgrims are encouraged to report any concerns related to food, transportation, accommodation, or other issues to the dedicated Call Center in Makkah, which operates 24/7.
