Child abuse crisis in Pakistan highlighted, with alarming statistics and societal implications. Urgent need for action to protect children and provide education for a brighter future.

Child abuse in Pakistan is a pressing issue, with more than 12 cases reported daily. Shockingly, out of the total reported cases, 55% of victims are girls while 45% are boys. Poverty and inflation are major factors driving children into the hands of exploiters, leading to cases of child labor and even child trafficking.

In Sindh, the highest number of child abuse cases were reported, followed by Punjab. The normalization of child abuse in Pakistan has created a society where such atrocities are often overlooked, even by those advocating for human rights.

Child labor is rampant, with underage children working in petrol stations, auto mechanic shops, and as domestic servants. Despite laws prohibiting child labor, these children are openly exploited, deprived of education, and forced into a life of hard labor.

It is crucial for society to address this issue and provide these young individuals with the opportunity for education and a better future. By investing in their training and development, Pakistan can harness its youthful population to drive progress and development, while ensuring a brighter future for its children.
