Residents of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are advised to prepare for severe weather conditions including rain, wind, thunderstorms, and potential snowfall. Flash floods and landslides are expected, prompting safety precautions for human life, agriculture, and infrastructure.

Residents of Peshawar and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been advised to brace themselves for inclement weather conditions over the next few days. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted the arrival of rain, wind, and thunderstorms starting Tuesday night and continuing for the next 3-4 days.

The prevailing weather pattern in most parts of Pakistan is characterized by continental air. A westerly wave is expected to move into the western regions of the country on Wednesday, gradually spreading to the upper parts by Thursday. This weather system is likely to bring about rain, wind, and thunderstorms in several areas including Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, and others.

From April 25 to April 29, the region is anticipated to experience heavy rainfall, with potential snowfall in high-altitude areas. Flash floods are a concern in local waterways, while landslides are expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The adverse weather conditions may pose risks to human life, agriculture, and infrastructure, prompting farmers to take precautions with their crops and advising tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during the specified period.

Temperatures are projected to decrease as the wet spell progresses, signaling a significant shift in the weather dynamics for the region. It is crucial for residents to stay informed and prepared for the upcoming weather challenges to ensure their safety and well-being.
