The by-elections in NA-44, DI Khan-I are conducted with high security and voter facilitation, focusing on a significant voter turnout.

The by-elections for the national assembly seat NA-44, DI Khan-I in Dera Ismail Khan commenced today under strict security measures. The polling process began at 8:00 a.m. and will continue uninterrupted until 5:00 p.m. This seat became vacant when Ali Amin Gandapur was elected as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

There are a total of 396,661 registered voters in this constituency, comprising 211,032 men and 185,629 women. To assist voters, candidates from various political parties and independents have set up camps outside polling stations. A total of 358 polling stations have been established, including separate ones for men and women, as well as combined stations.

Security has been a top priority, with 134 polling stations classified as normal, 221 as sensitive, and 3 as highly sensitive. To ensure a peaceful voting process, approximately 4,000 police officers and personnel, along with Pakistan Army and FC personnel, have been deployed across the constituency.
