Price Control Magistrate Azmat Ferdous takes strict action against violators in Faisalabad for overcharging on roti and naan, ensuring consumer protection.
In a recent development, Price Control Magistrate Azmat Ferdous has taken strict action against tandoor and restaurant owners in Faisalabad for violating price regulations. On 2nd May, 2024, a fine of Rs 25,000 was imposed on several establishments for overcharging on roti and naan.
The crackdown came after a price checking team conducted 56 inspections across various markets in the city. The team identified multiple cases of non-compliance with the price control act, prompting Magistrate Ferdous to levy fines on the offenders.
This move aims to ensure that consumers are not exploited through unjustified price hikes on essential food items like roti and naan. By enforcing penalties on violators, the authorities are sending a clear message that such practices will not be tolerated.
