Punjab CM Mourns Loss in Faisalabad Tragedy

In a devastating turn of events in the Shareef Pura area of Faisalabad, a house was engulfed in flames due to a laptop battery explosion, leading to a heartbreaking loss of two lives and injuries to seven individuals. The incident unfolded while a laptop was being charged at a home on Satyana Road, triggering a fire that was eventually extinguished by emergency responders.

The victims, nine family members comprising five children and two women, were swiftly transported to Allied Hospital for urgent medical attention. Tragically, medical authorities confirmed that two siblings, a brother, and a sister, could not survive their burn injuries, while the remaining seven are currently under medical care.

Expressing deep sorrow over the children's untimely demise, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz conveyed her condolences to the grieving family. She has directed that the injured individuals receive top-notch medical treatment and services, as per an official statement from the provincial government.

Following the distressing incident, Regional Police Officer Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan has instructed the senior superintendent of police to launch a thorough investigation to ascertain the root cause of the fire.
