Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) recently took strict action against illegal gas consumers in Multan, imposing fines totaling Rs 132,000 on eight individuals. The crackdown was initiated after official sources revealed that several consumers were found to be engaging in unauthorized activities related to gas usage.

Among the violations detected, two consumers were discovered to be using domestic gas meters for commercial purposes. As a result, their connections were promptly severed by the department's enforcement team. Additionally, four other consumers were found to be providing illegal gas connections to neighboring households, while two more were penalized for various violations.

The SNGPL administration has reiterated its commitment to combating illegal gas consumption and has pledged to continue taking stringent measures against offenders.
