SSUET's 27th Convocation in Karachi honored 1177 students, with Governor Tessori praising the university's role in national development and supporting entrepreneurship.

Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) in Karachi recently celebrated its 27th annual Convocation, honoring the academic achievements of 1177 students across various degree programs. The event, graced by Governor Muhammad Kamran Tessori as the chief guest, saw the conferral of degrees to 1,117 Bachelor’s, 60 Master’s, and one PhD graduate. Noteworthy students who excelled in their disciplines were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals for their outstanding performance.

Governor Tessori commended SSUET for its role as an ideological academic institution that contributes significantly to national development and provides a skilled workforce globally. He highlighted the university's commitment to equipping graduates with the necessary skills for professional success and societal impact. Additionally, Governor Tessori announced plans to offer non-refundable loans to youth with innovative business ideas, aiming to support entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Chancellor Jawaid Anwar praised the university's resilience and performance, noting the continued enrollment of students even during economic challenges. He announced a salary scale revision to address the welfare of university employees. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin presented the annual report, showcasing SSUET's growth to 16 academic departments offering a range of programs and boasting a faculty of 350 members.

The convocation also recognized top-performing students with medals and certificates. Names like Anab Ali, Amina Siddiqui, and Malik Tanzeel stood out for securing first positions in their respective disciplines. The event concluded with a musical performance by students, adding a touch of cultural celebration to the academic achievements.
