Traffic police in Abbottabad crack down on vehicles with tinted glass, issuing fines and revoking permits to ensure road safety and uphold traffic laws.

In an effort to enhance road safety and enforce traffic regulations, the traffic police in Abbottabad took strict action against vehicles with tinted glass on Friday. The crackdown resulted in fines being issued to hundreds of vehicles, with final warnings given to offenders.

The initiative followed the cancellation of tinted glass permits by the Ministry of Interior. SSP Traffic, Tariq Mahmood, confirmed the revocation of all permits and licenses for tinted windows. Possession of such permits was deemed fraudulent, leading to the announcement of stringent measures against violators.

Under the supervision of DPO Umar Tufail Khan, the traffic police, led by SSP Traffic Tariq Mahmood Khan, conducted thorough checks at various checkpoints. A total of 430 vehicles were heavily fined for non-compliance with the removal of tinted windows.

This decisive action underscores the authorities' commitment to ensuring road safety and upholding traffic laws in the region. It serves as a reminder to all motorists to adhere to regulations for the collective well-being of the community.
