The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dry weather across most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, with the southern regions likely to experience gusty winds or windstorms. However, there is a chance of partly cloudy weather with rain-thunderstorm expected in isolated areas of Kashmir and nearby hilly regions.

The current synoptic situation indicates the influence of a westerly wave trough on the upper regions of Pakistan, expected to persist for the next 12 to 18 hours. Over the past day, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms were reported in various areas, including Kashmir, upper and central Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Notable rainfall measurements include Lahore (City 18mm, Airport 12mm), Sialkot (City 14mm, Airport 12mm), and other regions in Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit Baltistan. The highest temperatures recorded were in Mithi at 42°C, with Thatta, Dadu, and Chhor reaching 41°C.

The PMD's weather forecast highlights the contrasting weather patterns expected across Pakistan, with dry conditions prevailing in most areas while northern regions may experience rain and thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay updated on local weather reports and take necessary precautions based on the forecasted conditions.
