Residents in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other regions of Pakistan are warned about severe weather conditions including rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms. The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall, flash floods, and landslides, urging people to stay informed and take necessary precautions.

Residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various regions in Pakistan are advised to brace themselves for severe weather conditions expected in the coming days. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning indicating the likelihood of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in these areas from Sunday evening through Tuesday.

The weather phenomenon is attributed to a westerly wave prevailing over the western and upper parts of Pakistan, expected to intensify and persist until Tuesday. This weather pattern is anticipated to bring heavy rainfall, isolated hailstorms, and thunderstorms to the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Flash floods are a concern for local nullahs and streams in specific areas, with potential landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

Furthermore, the adverse weather conditions may pose risks to human lives, standing crops, and infrastructure such as electric poles and solar panels. Maximum temperatures in Islamabad are forecasted to range between 20-25 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, while Rawalpindi is expected to experience temperatures between 21-26 degrees Celsius during the same period.

Recent weather data shows that rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms have already affected several regions, with varying temperature readings across the country. Notably, Nawabshah recorded the highest temperature at 41 degrees Celsius, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi reported maximum temperatures of 23 degrees Celsius each.

In conclusion, residents are urged to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and minimize potential damages caused by the upcoming severe weather conditions.
