The Government College Women University Sialkot's fifth convocation celebrated academic achievements, emphasizing women's role in societal progress.

The Government College Women University Sialkot recently marked a significant milestone by hosting its fifth convocation at G2-Marquee. The event was graced by the presence of Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, who served as the chief guest. Vice Chancellor Pro. Dr. Zarrin Fatima Rizvi took the opportunity to commend the graduating students for their hard work and dedication. She urged them to leverage their knowledge and skills to contribute positively to society, emphasizing the crucial role of women in driving the country's progress post-graduation.

During the convocation, a total of 2,210 female students were awarded degrees. This included 1,542 students from the BS session 2017-21, 344 students from the MA/MSC session 2019-21, and 344 students from the MS sessions of 2018-20 and 2019-21. The outstanding academic achievements of the students were recognized through the presentation of 29 gold medals, 29 silver medals, and one prestigious Allama Iqbal medal.

The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries such as PMLNN MPA Faisal Ikram, members of the syndicate, and vice chancellors from other universities. The Vice Chancellor highlighted the university's academic and research accomplishments, as well as ongoing development projects, in the comprehensive annual report shared during the convocation.

The degrees were conferred to the students by faculty deans, with a special acknowledgment extended to Controller Malik Gulshan Aslam and the management committee for their dedicated efforts in organizing a successful convocation.
