Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi takes a strong stance against over-billing in Pakistan, emphasizing the crackdown on malpractices and electricity theft to protect consumers and ensure transparency in the energy sector.

The Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has taken a firm stance against over-billing practices in Pakistan, declaring a zero-tolerance policy to address this issue effectively. Naqvi emphasized that over-billing would not be accepted under any circumstances and directed immediate action against all individuals involved in such malpractices across the country.

Furthermore, Naqvi highlighted the importance of cracking down on electricity theft and instructed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to enhance its efforts in combating both over-billing and electricity thieves. He stressed the need for 100% efficiency from FIA officers in dealing with these issues, stating that over-billing amounted to cruelty towards the public.

In a bid to provide relief to the citizens, Naqvi underscored the urgency of addressing over-billing promptly and firmly stated that those responsible for such actions did not deserve leniency. Additionally, he announced plans to bolster security measures in sensitive areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to curb incidents of electricity theft.
