Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, visits Gwadar to assess development projects, engage with stakeholders, and support infrastructure developments, showcasing government commitment to economic growth.

The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, accompanied by the Additional Secretary Maritime Affairs, recently embarked on a significant three-day visit to Gwadar. The visit aimed to assess the progress of development projects and engage with key stakeholders in the region.

Upon their arrival in Gwadar, the Minister and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Chairman Gwadar Port Pasand Khan Baldi, CEO of China Overseas Port Holding Company Limited, Yu Bu, and other officials from GPA and China. The first day of the visit was marked by a series of engagements, including a meeting at the GPA head office where discussions were held on various matters related to the port's development.

During the meeting, Chairman Gwadar Port Pasand Khan Buledi provided insights into the ongoing projects at Gwadar Port, while Chairman COPHC briefed the delegation on the port's operations and recent advancements. The Minister also visited the Free Zone, with a particular interest in the newly constructed 1.2 MGD Desalination Plant, showcasing his support for the infrastructure developments in the area.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress witnessed during the visit, the Minister commended the ongoing works in Gwadar, highlighting the positive trajectory of development in the region.
