The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport announces operational passport delivery services during Eidul Fitr holidays, with increased fees and timely delivery assurance for Hajj season applicants.

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has announced that passport delivery services will be operational during the upcoming Eidul Fitr holidays. Director General Mustafa Jamal Kazi has instructed all regional offices to keep passport delivery counters open from April 10 to 14, between 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, to assist customers.

This decision comes ahead of the Hajj season 2024, with many pilgrims applying for new passports. Despite recent delays caused by a shortage of lamination paper, officials have resolved the issue to ensure timely passport delivery.

In a recent update, the passport fees have been significantly increased. The fee for a 36-page passport with a five-year validity period has been raised to Rs4,500 for normal processing and Rs7,500 for urgent processing. Similarly, the fee for a 10-year validity passport has been increased to Rs6,700 and Rs11,200 for normal and urgent processing, respectively.

For larger passports, the fee for a 72-page document with a five-year validity now stands at Rs8,200 for normal processing and Rs13,500 for urgent processing. The fee for a 100-page passport has been set at Rs12,400 for normal processing and Rs20,200 for urgent processing.

With the Eidul Fitr holidays approaching, the Directorate General's decision to continue passport delivery services will provide relief to many applicants, ensuring that they receive their passports on time.
