Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurates the eco-friendly LDA Avenue-1 Central Park project in Lahore, featuring amenities like jogging tracks, solar street lights, and a focus on environmental conservation.

Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif unveiled the LDA Avenue-1 Central Park project in Lahore, covering an area of 87 canals. This initiative is part of a larger plan to transform the city into a more eco-friendly residential hub. The Central Park, which serves as a pilot project, aims to improve the environmental sustainability of the area.

The Central Park boasts a range of amenities designed to cater to residents of all ages. Visitors can enjoy a jogging track, walkways, a kids' play area, an open gym, a badminton court, a cafeteria, a mosque, and a beautiful rose garden. To enhance safety and convenience, solar street lights have been installed along the walkways, and designated vending points offer a variety of food items for purchase. Moreover, the park features facilities for rainwater harvesting, cycling, and even a model cemetery.

During her visit, the Chief Minister received a briefing on the efforts made by the LDA Avenue-1 Society to preserve and enhance the environment within the society. The project showcases innovative measures aimed at promoting environmental conservation and beautification.

In a bid to enhance operational efficiency, the LDA Enforcement Squad has been provided with new uniforms, tools, and machinery. The Chief Minister personally inspected the upgraded enforcement squad and handed over keys of new bikes to the team members to support their field operations.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the inauguration were Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Information & Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, MNA Afzal Khokhar, and MPA Sania Ashiq.

The launch of the LDA Avenue-1 Central Park project marks a significant step towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly living environment in Lahore. With its array of amenities and focus on conservation, the park is set to become a popular recreational spot for residents and visitors alike.
