Learn about the importance of NICOP for overseas Pakistanis, the process of obtaining it, fee structures, and the convenience it offers for travel and identification.

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is an essential identification document issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to Pakistani expatriates living abroad. NADRA is responsible for managing, recording, and issuing NICOP to Pakistani citizens residing in different countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Obtaining an NICOP card is a simple process for all overseas Pakistanis, as it allows visa-free travel to Pakistan for individuals holding dual nationality. Pakistani residents in Saudi Arabia and other nations can apply for the new Smart NICOP by visiting any NADRA center.

For those in the UAE, the Pak Identity app provides a convenient option to renew their NICOP without the need to physically visit a center. NADRA has set up varying fee structures for Smart NICOP based on regions, dividing them into Zone A and Zone B, with Saudi Arabia falling under Zone B.

NADRA offers three categories – Normal, Urgent, and Executive – for issuing NICOP to Saudi Arabia residents. The normal fee for NICOP in Saudi Arabia is Rs5,620, while the urgent fee is Rs8,440. Additionally, an executive category is available with a fee of Rs11,250.
