Pakistan Railways Slashes Fares, Making Train Travel Affordable

The Pakistan Railways has recently made a groundbreaking announcement regarding a substantial reduction in train fares for various classes, effective immediately. This decision is set to benefit passengers traveling shorter distances, covering journeys from one to 200 kilometers. The most significant reductions are observed in the economy and AC classes, with economy class fares on specific routes witnessing a remarkable decrease of up to 54%.

For instance, the minimum fare for the economy class on the Lahore to Rawalpindi route has been revised from Rs250 to Rs100, making train travel more affordable for commuters. Similarly, passengers on the Khyber Mail route will also experience a significant drop in fares, with prices lowered from Rs250 to Rs100 for distances ranging from 1km to 130km.

AC class travelers are not left behind, as fares have been slashed by 40% across different routes.
