PIA's Inaugural Hajj Flight Departs with 301 Pilgrims

The first Hajj flight, PK-717, organized by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), took off from Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) with 301 pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia. The departure was marked by a heartfelt send-off from Provincial Minister for Local Government Punjab, Zeeshan Rafique, and other esteemed guests, including members of the Provincial Assemblies and airport officials.

Minister Zeeshan Rafique conveyed his best wishes to the pilgrims and stressed the importance of performing Hajj with humility and respect for Saudi laws. He commended the government's dedicated efforts, spearheaded by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, in ensuring exceptional arrangements for the pilgrims' stay, transportation, and healthcare needs.

The Hajj Operations team in Sialkot, under the leadership of Syed Mujeeb Akbar Shah, confirmed the successful completion of all necessary preparations for the upcoming Hajj flights. A total of 3450 male and female pilgrims are scheduled to be flown to Saudi Arabia via 12 direct flights operated by PIA and AirSial from SIAL.

Notably, due to ongoing runway construction at SIAL, three flights carrying 605 pilgrims have already departed from Lahore to Saudi Arabia. Authorities have stressed the importance of pilgrims adhering to regulations and maintaining discipline throughout their sacred Hajj journey.

The commencement of the Hajj season from Sialkot signifies a significant moment for the pilgrims embarking on this spiritual journey.
