Poland Raises National Visa Application Fee in Response

Authorities in Poland have announced a fee increase for National Visa applications, effective from June 1, 2024. The fee for a National Visa application (D-type) and reconsideration of such applications will rise to 135 EUR. This decision comes as a response to the growing migration pressure in Poland.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Poland has stated that the fee increase is due to a new regulation that aims to improve the availability of slots for first-time applicants seeking the national Polish visa. While the National Visa fee is increasing, the Schengen (C-type) visa application fee will remain unchanged. However, there is a possibility of the Schengen visa fee increasing from EUR 80 to EUR 90 in 2024.
