Street crimes continue to pose a threat to public safety, with even off-duty law enforcement officials falling victim to robberies. In a recent incident in Khanewal, Shahid Iqbal, the son of Muhammad Aslam and a police officer, was robbed on his way home in Mri Sahu from Kabir Walla late at night.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by Shahid Iqbal, he was intercepted by three armed bandits who robbed him at gunpoint. The criminals took away Rs. 20,000 in cash, his mobile phone, and his motorbike, a CD-70 model. However, the situation took a turn when three passersby named Qamar, Qaiser Iqbal, and Muhammad Aslam intervened during the altercation with the muggers. Their timely intervention caused the robbers to flee towards the Bara Meel area.
