The Punjab government has implemented significant bureaucratic changes to enhance administrative efficiency and drive development initiatives across various departments.

The Punjab government has recently made significant changes in the bureaucratic setup by issuing a notification detailing the transfers and postings of several officers across various departments. These changes aim to streamline administrative functions and enhance efficiency within the government.

Saima Sadia, who previously served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary (Admin) in the Tourism & Archaeology Department. Ahmad Raza Sura, another OSD, has been reassigned as Deputy Secretary in the Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries Department. Tariq Hussain, also an OSD, has assumed the role of Additional Secretary in the Environment Department. Aon Abbas Bukhari, previously an OSD, now holds the position of Deputy Managing Director of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation. Malik Rashid Nemat, an OSD, has been placed at the disposal of the DG Punjab Food Authority for further assignment.

Moreover, Muhammad Arshad, who was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Food Department, has been transferred to the position of Additional Deputy Commissioner (F&P) in Sargodha. Zahid Pervez, previously an Additional Secretary in the Environment Department, now serves in the same capacity in the Home Department. Muhammad Ahmer Ali, formerly Deputy Secretary in the Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries Department, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Bahawalpur. Abdul Razzaque Ali, who was Deputy Secretary in the Higher Education Department, has been reassigned as Deputy Secretary in the Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CD). Farhan Mujtaba, previously Deputy Secretary in the Food Department, now holds the position of Deputy Secretary in the LG&CD.

Furthermore, Mudassar Ahmad Shah, who previously held the position of Additional DG (Technical) in the Punjab Food Authority, has been placed at the disposal of the DG Lahore Development Authority for further assignment. Arshad Ahmad, who was under transfer as Deputy Secretary in the Public Prosecution Department, and Dr. Tariq Usman, who was Deputy Secretary in the Zakat & Ushr Department, have swapped positions.

In a separate notification, the Punjab government also announced the transfer and posting of four officers. Mahmood-ul-Hassan, who was Additional Secretary in the Governor Punjab Secretariat, has been reassigned as Chief of Section in the Planning and Development Board. Dr. Ahmad Afnan, previously Additional Secretary in the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department, now serves as Additional Secretary in the Governor Punjab Secretariat. Nabila Javed has been appointed as Secretary of the Punjab Commission on Women Status.

These changes in the bureaucratic structure of the Punjab government reflect its commitment to effective governance and strategic placement of officers to drive development initiatives across various departments.
