Saudi Minister of Hajj Commends Good Samaritans in Makkah

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj recently praised a group of kind-hearted individuals for coming to the aid of a lost pilgrim in Makkah. The men were caught on camera helping the bewildered pilgrim, who had strayed onto a highway in the sacred city, by safely escorting him back to his accommodation. Pilgrims are issued a Nusuk Card, an identification card that allows others to assist them if they get lost or separated from their group. In this case, the men utilized the barcode on the pilgrim's name tag to locate his place of stay.

Despite the pilgrim's attempt to express his gratitude by offering them money during the journey, the men graciously declined. This incident marked the second time the man in the video had encountered such a scenario, with the first involving an Indian pilgrim. The video concluded with the thankful pilgrim being safely returned to his residence.

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah highlighted the importance of the Nusuk Card, emphasizing that it not only grants access to all the holy sites but also provides various services to ease the Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims are mandated to carry the card throughout their entire Hajj journey, from their arrival to their departure, ensuring seamless navigation within the sacred sites. Hajj, a fundamental pillar of Islam, requires every financially and physically capable adult Muslim to undertake the pilgrimage to the holy Islamic sites in Makkah at least once in their lifetime.
