The Sindh Excise Department has taken a significant step towards enhancing public service by introducing a new initiative where vehicle number plates will be delivered directly to residents' homes. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The department aims to improve efficiency and convenience for the public by offering this service.

As part of this initiative, the department plans to establish specialized offices for issuing premium number plates and set up a motor registration office in Karachi's District South. This office will have extended evening hours to accommodate the public's needs, making the registration process more accessible.

Sharjeel Memon, overseeing various departments in the Sindh government, expressed satisfaction with the initial phase of premium number plate issuance. He announced the upcoming second phase of the auction, emphasizing the department's commitment to streamlining the registration process and providing efficient services to the public.

In a recent auction conducted by the Sindh Excise Department, the premium number plate 'A 1' was sold for an impressive Rs100 million, with the highest bid placed by Muzammil Kareem Paracha. Another sought-after number plate, '786,' fetched Rs26.5 million, with the highest bid coming from a businessman named Sarosh.
