Learn about the essential steps and requirements to obtain a driving license in Sindh, ensuring legal compliance and promoting road safety.

Driving licenses are essential for all residents of Sindh, including Karachi, before driving on the roads. Not having a valid license can lead to fines or penalties. The Driving License Sindh department issues licenses for cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles after individuals pass theoretical and practical exams. Anyone 18 years or older, regardless of gender, can apply for a license.

Before going to the D.L Branch, individuals must get an Online Pre-Appointment. After getting the pre-appointment token, applicants need to go to the designated branch with their original CNIC. They must then undergo a medical check-up by a certified medical officer to comply with the Motor Vehicle Ordinance -1965.

Prior to getting a permanent license, applicants must first get a learner's license, valid for one year. Permanent car and motorcycle licenses are issued by the traffic department for three or five years. The government has no plans to change the fee structure, with a Car + Motorcycle license for three years costing Rs1,410 and Rs1,860 for five years.

It is crucial for all residents of Sindh to have a valid driving license before driving. By following the necessary steps and requirements outlined by the Driving License Sindh department, individuals can ensure they are legally allowed to operate vehicles on the road. Obtaining a driving license not only ensures compliance with the law but also promotes road safety for everyone.
