The Sindh government, led by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, plans to enhance public transport services by introducing additional buses, launching a people's bus service, and upgrading infrastructure to improve transportation connectivity and quality of life in the province.

The Sindh government, under the leadership of Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, is set to introduce additional buses in various regions of the province in the upcoming fiscal year. This decision was made during a recent meeting held in Karachi, attended by key officials including Secretary of Transport Asad Zaman and Sindh Mass Transit Authority MD Kamal Hakeem Dayo. The primary objective of this initiative is to improve connectivity between tehsils and district headquarters, aligning with the vision set forth by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari.

One of the key highlights of the plan is the launch of a people's bus service that will operate routes from Sukkur to Larkana and Sukkur to Khairpur, aiming to provide convenient and affordable transportation options for the residents of these areas.

Moreover, the meeting also addressed the development of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, upgrades to traffic signals, reconstruction of bus terminals, and the establishment of a U-turn specifically for the People's Bus Service. Additionally, plans are underway to construct a parking plaza in Hyderabad to ease traffic congestion in central locations. Senior Minister Memon was briefed on the progress of eight bus terminals, with a commitment to have them fully operational by June.

The Sindh government's initiative to enhance public transport services reflects a commitment to improving accessibility and mobility for the residents of the province. By expanding bus networks, upgrading infrastructure, and introducing innovative solutions like the people's bus service, the government aims to address transportation challenges and enhance the overall quality of life for the people of Sindh.
