MNAs and MPAs from MQM-P criticized the government's response to rainfall in Hyderabad, citing issues like clogged drainage systems and power outages. They called for comprehensive solutions and better planning to prevent similar problems in the future.

Over the weekend, MNAs and MPAs from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) voiced their disappointment with the performance of various government bodies in Hyderabad following a bout of rainfall. MNAs Syed Waseem Hussain and Abdul Aleem Khanzada, along with MPAs Rashid Khan and Nasir Qureshi, highlighted issues such as clogged drainage systems, flooded roads, and prolonged power outages that plagued the city after the recent rainfall. Despite the Pakistan Meteorological Department's forecast of rain a week prior, no adequate measures were taken by the authorities to mitigate the impact of the weather event.

The representatives stressed the urgent need for a comprehensive solution to Hyderabad's drainage problems and called for improvements in HESCO's transmission system to prevent power outages caused by faults. They emphasized the importance of long-term planning and preparedness by the relevant government departments to avoid similar issues in the future.
