Weather forecasters from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) have predicted rain, wind, and thunderstorms in the upper districts of Punjab over the upcoming weekend. This weather phenomenon is attributed to a shallow westerly wave expected to enter Balochistan, affecting western and upper regions of Pakistan.

Currently, most parts of the country are experiencing continental air, leading to dry weather with gusty winds in Lahore and other areas of Punjab. However, on Friday and Saturday, Murree, Galyat, and Potohar regions are likely to witness partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms. In contrast, central and southern Punjab can expect hot weather accompanied by gusty winds that may raise dust.

Specifically in Lahore, temperatures are forecasted to range between 33-35 degrees Celsius on Friday and 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The recent weather pattern in the region saw dry conditions, with Bahawalpur recording the highest temperature at 39 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity levels in Lahore were noted at 23% during the evening.

In conclusion, residents in the upper districts of Punjab should prepare for potential rain and thunderstorms this weekend, while those in central and southern Punjab can expect hot weather with gusty winds. Stay updated with the latest weather forecasts to plan your activities accordingly.
