The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts scattered rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Lahore and various parts of Punjab due to westerly waves. Residents are advised to stay informed and prepare for changing weather conditions.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore and various parts of Punjab are likely to experience scattered rain, wind, and thunderstorms in the coming days. This weather phenomenon is attributed to a shallow westerly wave prevailing over the upper regions of Pakistan, with another westerly wave expected to approach western areas of the country on 24th April.

On Monday evening and night, areas including Murree, Galyat, Pothohar region, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Layyah, Bhakkar, Multan, and Dera Ghazi Khan are likely to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms. The forecast for Tuesday indicates that Murree, Galyat, Lahore, Sialkot, and Gujranwala will continue to experience these weather conditions during the day.

In Lahore, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 33-35 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Despite dry weather prevailing over most parts of the province in the last 24 hours, isolated areas experienced rain and thunderstorms. Notable rainfall measurements include Mandi Bahauddin 12mm, Layyah 10mm, Jhelum 08mm, Murree 06mm, Toba Tek Singh 02mm, and Mangla 01mm. Sahiwal recorded the highest temperature in the province at 36 degrees Celsius, with relative humidity in the evening reaching 29 percent. In Lahore, the maximum temperature recorded was 35 degrees Celsius, with relative humidity at 27 percent.
