The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms in various regions of Pakistan over the next 24 hours. These weather conditions are expected to affect several areas including Kashmir, northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, southeast and lower Sindh, as well as northeast and south Balochistan.

The current weather pattern is being influenced by moist air currents originating from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, particularly impacting the eastern and southern parts of the country. While most regions will continue to experience hot and humid weather, some areas are likely to witness rain and thunderstorms.

During the previous day, Pakistan experienced predominantly hot and dry conditions, with the southern parts facing exceptionally high temperatures. However, isolated areas in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir received rainfall, with Balakot recording 16mm of rain, Chitral and Kalam receiving 4mm each, Drosh with 1mm, and Rawalakot with 3mm.

It is essential for residents in the mentioned regions to stay informed about the weather updates provided by the Pakistan Meteorological Department. It is advisable to take necessary precautions in anticipation of the predicted rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms to ensure safety and preparedness.
