Authorities in Balochistan crack down on criminals crossing from Sindh, resulting in arrests and seizures. Joint operation targets criminal surge in riverine areas.

Authorities in Dera Murad Jamali, Balochistan, are intensifying efforts to prevent dacoits from Sindh's katcha areas from seeking refuge in bordering districts. Nasirabad Range DIG Malik Saleem Lehri, in a press conference with Nasirabad SSP Samiullah Malik, emphasized the implementation of strict security measures to deter the entry of criminals into Balochistan. The police have heightened vigilance at checkpoints along the border to thwart any attempts by dacoits to infiltrate the region.

DIG Lehri disclosed that the police in Nasirabad have been actively targeting criminal gangs that have crossed over from Sindh, resulting in the arrest of 118 individuals involved in serious offenses such as murder, kidnapping, and highway robberies. Additionally, significant quantities of drugs, illegal arms, and stolen vehicles have been seized during recent crackdowns. Notably, the police successfully rescued a kidnapped girl from Punjab, underscoring their commitment to maintaining law and order.

The ongoing large-scale operation against bandits in Sindh's riverine areas has prompted collaborative efforts between Sindh and Punjab police, as highlighted by the National Action Plan Implementation Review Committee. The joint operation aims to address the surge in criminal activities, particularly kidnapping for ransom and robberies, in these regions.
