Fawad Chaudhary Urges Imran Khan's Release Amid Political Turmoil

Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhary has called for the immediate release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan from jail in order to lower the political temperature in the country and allow for progress. Chaudhary expressed his concerns during his appearance before an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore, where he highlighted the challenges faced by the current government.

Chaudhary criticized the government, referring to it as a 'government of Form-47,' and cast doubt on its ability to complete a full term, suggesting that it might not even last five months. He emphasized the importance of reducing the political tensions and stressed that keeping Imran Khan in jail would not be beneficial for anyone.

During the court proceedings, the ATC granted interim bail to Chaudhary in four cases related to the May 9 riots and requested the police to provide relevant records. Additionally, the court prohibited the police from arresting Chaudhary and postponed further hearings until April 20.
