The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recently announced the transfer of 12 officers from the Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service. The transfers, ranging from BS-21 to BS-22, were made effective immediately until further notice.

The officers, including Mukarram Jah Ansari from Pakistan Customs Service at BS-22 level, have been appointed as members of the Admin Pool at the FBR Headquarters in Islamabad. Among the BS-21 officers transferred are Shah Bano G.M Khan, Fareed Iqbal Qureshi, Tariq Mustafa Khan, Ahmad Rauf, Mirza Mubashir Baig, Hyder Ali Dharejo, Muhammad Azam Sheikh, Muhammad Saleem, Abdul Wahid Uqaily, Afaque Ahmed Qureshi, and Khurshid Ahmad Khan Marwat.

The FBR has requested the officers to promptly submit their charge relinquishment/assumption to the FBR for further action. Earlier in the week, Asim Majid Khan, a BS-21 officer from the Inland Revenue Service, was transferred from his previous role as member (Legal-IR) to member (Admin Pool) at the FBR Headquarters.

The recent transfers within the FBR highlight the ongoing administrative changes aimed at optimizing the performance of the Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service. These reassignments are crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring effective tax administration in the country.
