Health Department Investigates Patient Death at Mian Rashid Hospital

The Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated a comprehensive investigation following the tragic death of a patient due to mistreatment at Mian Rashid Hospital. This investigation was prompted by a video circulating on social media that depicted the patient's distressing experience. As a result, all staff members visible in the video have been suspended.

Provincial Minister for Health, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, addressed the seriousness of the situation in a press conference. He stressed that immediate action has been taken in response to the incident where a critically ill patient was carelessly moved from the emergency ward to an open area within the hospital. Unfortunately, the patient was left unattended overnight and subsequently passed away.

Minister Shah reassured the public that the Health Department is committed to handling the issue effectively. He mentioned that the family of the deceased has the option to file a First Information Report (FIR), and strict legal actions will be taken. The Health Department will proceed with disciplinary measures against those accountable based on the findings of the inquiry committee.
